Ronnie’s tail was the first to fall off. I found it in the yard this afternoon. Of course I’m going to keep it! It reminds me of a rabbit’s foot without being so creepy. (Okay, it’s a little creepy.)
The disembodied tail:
Ronnie at one week old, with her long tail:
Hokey Pokey’s tail is pretty withered and almost ready to drop, but you can see the new baby’s tail is still pretty fat and lively. And some more gratuitous sheep pictures… :)
So cute!!! I didn’t know that’s how the tails were docked – cool!
Hi there, thanks for posting all the details on the sheepies. I’m thinking of a spinner’s flock myself….any suggestions?
I’ve seen the barn pics, and I was just wondering if you had another post with details on how much land, where to get sheep, etc? if not, please, please!
They are some really cute babies.
I am loving all these pics! Sheep are tooo cute!
I’m in love with these photos, please keep posting them!! They make me want to runaway from the city and raise my own woolly friends.
What about the boy babies’ … er … other parts? (Wait … do you have little rams? I thought at least one, right?) Will those be falling off, too? And perhaps kept in a little felted basket on your desk?
I’ve been reading about your new lambs with interest–so cute! But can you explain to those of us with absolutely ZERO experience with animals why you would need to make their tails fall off? I didn’t even know they were born with long tails, so that part was new to me. Thanks! :)
Hi Nikol, I am getting my fix on cute babies by following yours. I am expecting baby rabbits maybe tonight? I’m glad I don’t have to dock their tails. The kids are adorable. Keep posting so we can be informed about these little darlings.
