Public Flogging/Accountability

My money was a mess last year. Most of it was failing to implement the required austerity measures needed to balance out the new expense of hiring an assistant. I thought that by forcing myself to account for all expenses going forward, I might curb my thoughtless spending. The first week of the month wasn’t mindful, with Woolfest prep occupying my every waking moment (but also, being so busy prevented most frivolous spending), so I’m playing catchup, but I intend to do this whenever I balance YNAB, usually daily. I’m not including utility bills, loans, credit card payments, taxes, ordinary business expenses (drop ship invoices, shipping expense, web hosting, restocking existing inventory, etc.), just new voluntary expenses. I’m also including credit interest and late fees, because those are my own fucking fault and I want to pay more attention to them.
